Aspect Softwares CFO Named to Boston Business Journals Annual 40 Under 40 List

Aspect Software, the worlds largest company solely focused on the contact center, today announced its chief financial officer (CFO), Michael Provenzano, was the only CFO named by the Boston Business Journal editors to its annual 40 Under 40 list of business leaders to watch in the Greater Boston region.

The annual list a supplement to the October 7 issue of the Boston Business Journal highlights 40 of the regions best and brightest business and civil leaders under the age of 40. Since 1998, the Boston Business Journals editors have made the selections based on each nominees influence on industry and local business, as well as their civic and philanthropical contributions.

Provenzano has been chief financial officer at Aspect Software (formerly Concerto Software) for more than five years and has successfully steered the contact center software company through a recession while maintaining profitability, led a management- and private equity-sponsored buy-out of the company taking it from public to private, has been a key contributor in developing the companys overall business strategy and has successfully managed the acquisitions of six companies in the last three years.

Most recently, Provenzano was responsible for managing the closing of the acquisition of Aspect Communications for (US) $1.0 billion dollars. As a result, the newly formed Aspect Software is now the largest company solely focused on contact center products and services with more than $600 million in revenue expected this year and more than 2,100 employees around the world. The company is also now the third largest software company headquartered in Massachusetts.

Being recognized for both my professional and personal contributions to Aspect Software and the community is a tremendous accolade. It is certainly an honor to be included as part of such an impressive group of individuals from the Boston business community, said Provenzano. The combination of working in such a dynamic industry with an exceptional group of colleagues at Aspect Software and being fortunate enough to be able to take advantage of several unique opportunities throughout my career has allowed me to gain a wealth of experience that has helped me guide this company through its evolution.

Before joining Aspect Software, Provenzano acquired a strong accounting and finance background at Arthur Andersen LLP as an experienced audit manager in its Boston office high technology practice.

Provenzano is an active supporter of the Benjamin Foundation a nonprofit association to raise funds and awareness of spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). He is also involved in the Salem, NH Rotary Clubs fundraising efforts and the Salem, NH Recreational Learn-to-Ski program.
