TuVox has established an international headquarters in the United Kingdom to launch its global operations and hired Alexander Evans to the position of international managing director, the speech applications company announced on Monday.

TuVox set up the international headquarters in April in response growing customer interest and adoption of its voice self-service applications.

"We look forward to working with our international clients and making a positive impact on voice self-service adoption worldwide," said Larry Miller, president and CEO, TuVox.

With TuVox's suite of enterprise speech applications, customers have the choice of about 30 self-service modules to help them automate processes like billing inquiries, change of address, order status or surveying. When used in conjunction with other application packages, customers have the ability to more effectively manage the lifecycle of their product suite (and hence their investment).

In a press release, the company said its product suite is now gaining momentum internationally as evidenced by a major new customer in the Asia Pacific region as its first international client. The company expects continued momentum internationally and is currently establishing Asia Pacific operations based in Australia.

To help navigate the expansion, the company brought in Evans, who was previously CEO of Axiom Systems Ltd. He previously has built and led direct and channel organization efforts to sell and deliver enterprise software solutions and managed services. Prior to Axiom, he was vice president of international operations at Kana and launched the EMEA operations for Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories.
