Exclaim Mobility Announces the Snap UGC Next Generation Network Cloud Service

By Deepika Mala, TMCnet Contributor

Exclaim Mobility, a provider of user-generated content socialization applications for mobile consumers, introduced the Snap UGC Next Generation Network Cloud Service.

To monetize UGC subscriber flow through their networks, a currently untapped revenue source, the Snap UGC Cloud Service creates a new way for service providers. The subscribers, through the new service will be able to access, socialize, store and track digital content across virtually any consumer electronics device, such as mobile handsets, game consoles and digital photo frames, regardless of where the content is located.

Being the next generation end-to-end UGC management solution, the Snap UGC Cloud Service goes beyond any existing photo and video sharing service to provide the broadest range of content socialization features and supported devices. The consumers, with the help of Snap, can access UGC regardless of where it is located from any Snap-enabled device.

Through various Snap CE device applications, messaging and notification features, advanced sharing options and unlimited storage, as well as tracking and graphing of UGC accessed by both users and their friends, the Snap UGC Cloud Service drives further mobile usage and adoption.

“With the Snap UGC Cloud Service, service providers can add value and generate revenue from the photo and video traffic already passing through their networks to popular social media and content sharing services and other storage devices,” said Jiren Parikh, president and CEO of Exclaim (News - Alert) Mobility, in a press release. “The socialization and sharing features of Snap will also drive additional revenue through data plan sales, SMS and MMS messaging for our carrier partners.”

For various consumer electronics hardware, the Snap platform consists of a UGC management gateway, Developer APIs, Snap Mylife UGC storage and tracking server and either Snap server-side or on-device applications. The third-party developers, mobile handset and other CE hardware vendors with the standardized XML APIs are allowed to integrate UGC access and socialization capabilities into their product and service functionality.

The complete end-to-end Snap UGC Cloud Service for service providers is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2011.

In related news, Exclaim Mobility has announced the acquisition of Mobicious, Inc., the creator of the popular SnapMyLife.com and Snap2Twitter branded mobile consumer social media sites.
