Verizon Business a Leading Player in Asia-Pacific Next-Gen Telecom Services Market

IDC recognized Verizon Business as a leading player in the Asia-Pacific next-generation telecom services market, in the analyst firm's inaugural report on the region. Verizon Business is a unit of Verizon Communications, which is a global leader in communications and IT solutions.

 In its report, "IDC (News - Alert) MarketScape: Asia/Pacific Next Generation Telecom Services 2010 Vendor Analysis,” IDC attributes Verizon's leadership position to the company's "unmatched security capabilities" and strong cloud vision, coupled with its robust network.

The study conducted by IDC, is said to be the first vendor assessment of the next-generation telecom services market in Asia-Pacific. The capabilities and strategies that key telecom service providers will implement in the next three to five years and that can impact the providers' ability to gain market share in the longer term, are analyzed by the study.

To include international IP VPN and Ethernet services, managed services, and professional IT services that are offered in the Asia-Pacific region, IDC defines "next-generation telecom services.” Based on their capabilities within the enterprise segment in the region, the vendors are evaluated.
