Communication Solutions Provider Clear2there Appoints Craig Steen: Optimistic of Increased Market Penetration

By Jaclyn Allard, TMCnet Copy Editor

Clear2there, Inc., a provider of video surveillance and communications solutions for businesses, is based in Oklahoma City, and works with national distribution partners, offering a team of dedicated support. The latest addition to this team is Craig Steen, who has been appointed, effective immediately, as president.

Steen’s 25 years of experience in the communications sector makes him a promising selection, and as Greg Mantia, CEO of Clear2there, enthusiastically acknowledges, “Craig has the knowledge, expertise and contacts to take Clear2there to new heights in terms of revenue and market penetration.” Formerly, as founding partner of Commerce, a distribution arm of Mitel (News - Alert), Steen spent 15 years successfully growing the business into a multi-million enterprise, representing over 80 vendors and 400 resellers. Recently, Steen acted as president of Igeacare Systems USA, Inc., headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., establishing distribution relationships with telephony manufacturers.

In a statement discussing the appointment of Steen, Mantia acknowledged that “[Steen] has a thorough understanding of technology and market direction, as well as the development and implementation of go-to-market strategies. His guidance and leadership will be instrumental as Clear2there looks to bring new solutions to market in the coming year.” As the U.S. and many industries look to the future and the end of the recession, the appointment of a strong and effective leader is essential. Clear2there is looking to do just that, expecting growth in the post recession period, which will be primarily led by CCTV/Video Surveillance market, given that the market is expected to register substantial gains from the ongoing migration from analog surveillance to IP-based network video surveillance.

Government support in the form of economic stimulus packages for key end-use markets such as retail, finance and IT augurs well for the future of electronic security systems market. Additionally, stringent insurance requirements will also help drive demand for access control equipment.

In recent news, KGP Logistics (News - Alert), a U.S. national distributor, deployed a new initiative to resell as a nationwide distributor to a customer base of interconnects, VARs, integrators and other resellers throughout the nation. Supported by seven distribution centers located around the country, KGP Logistics can and will deliver products and services on-time and efficiently. One of the new enterprise vendors is Clear2there Surveillance, offering IP and analog video surveillance solutions.
