Exclaim Mobility Acquires Mobicious

PRINCETON, N.J. --(Business Wire)--

Exclaim Mobility, the leading provider of user-generated content (UGC) sharing and socialization application for mobile consumers, today announced the acquisition of Mobicious, Inc., the creator of the popular SnapMyLife.com and Snap2Twitter branded mobile consumer social media sites. Through this acquisition, Exclaim (News - Alert) Mobility has added substantial technology and customer-facing applications that will be deployed to its existing subscriber base and utilized to create new offerings for UGC sharing and socialization.

Exclaim is the leader in connecting mobile consumers to branded social media and content sharing sites, allowing users to upload, share, print and personalize photos and videos from camera phones. The combined, profitable Exclaim-Mobicious entity will deliver a complete end-to-end offering to address the large global market opportunity for UGC socialization.

SnapMyLife was launched in late 2008 and has quickly grown to more than 1.15 million registered users. Mobile phone users from around the world use SnapMyLife to upload photos, as well as socialize and safely store their content with others. With the launch of Snap2Twitter in 2009, the Mobicious platform was expanded to give mobile consumers and carriers a powerfl application for "tweeting" photos and videos through Twitter, as well as socializing content with others through the portal. The SnapMyLife and Snap2Twitter services will be integrated into a single, easy-to-access mobile and web browser application, and will be accessible through Exclaim's existing premium client applications by Q3 2010. Existing Snap site users will see no interruption of the service through the integration process and will continue to have access to the current free services.

"We see tremendous synergies with our existing UGC product portfolio, which includes Pictavision, the leading subscription photo and video socialization app on the market," says Jiren Parikh (News - Alert), president and CEO of Exclaim. "By integrating the Mobicious branded and carrier-grade services into our existing premium app offerings, we will create the next-generation UGC social media platform for mobile consumers as well as carriers worldwide."

Exclaim Mobility's offerings enable consumers to share their digital content, including photos, videos and other mixed media, through their consumer electronic devices and across major branded social media platforms and messaging formats. The company develops and markets Pictavision®, the number-one selling user-generated content sharing and socialization application for mobile consumers, with over 250,000 paid subscribers. Exclaim's UGC socialization platform and associated mobile applications are deployed by mobile network operators to offer premium services to consumers. Exclaim also offers Teleprints™, a service that enables consumers to easily print photos from their mobile device to retail locations, including over 5,000 Walgreens stores throughout the U.S. through select mobile network operators.
