Free Webinar to Discuss BlackBerry Troubleshooting TipsBy Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor Zenprise, a provider of mobile service management software automatically monitors and troubleshoots the end-to-end enterprise mobile environment. With their software, IT administrators are able to rapidly identify root causes and resolve issues before they even affect the end user.
For today’s workforce, where RIM’s BlackBerry (News - Alert) devices have become extremely popular, Zenprise also offers software that automatically troubleshoots problems across the BlackBerry infrastructure.
The ability to more easily troubleshoot problems with these devices is especially important in the current marketplace and economy where the number of mobile enterprise users is growing, but budgets for staff and support for those devices is not.
To take a further look at this topic, a free Webinar event, “Top 10 BlackBerry Troubleshooting Tips for Enterprise Activations,” will take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 2:00pm ET / 11:00am PT.
Sponsored by Research in Motion (News - Alert) (RIM) & Zenprise, the free Webinar will offer BlackBerry administrators & help desk operators a chance to learn tips for troubleshooting 10 common enterprise activation issues and will feature Zenprises’ VP of Product Management, Ahmed Datoo.
By resolving issues quickly and easily, enterprises will not only be able to do more with fewer resources, but can also guarantee higher service levels and gain end user satisfaction.
In a recent chat with TMCnet, Datoo pointed to a Gartner (News - Alert) study that said one and a half IT admins were needed to support 15 hundred mobile users. Their automated software, he said, includes built in support for up to 6 thousand people.
“Automation allows us to do more with less,” Datoo said. The software is able to support 6 thousand users with only one IT user because it offloads all of the troubleshooting and the admin needs only follow the instructions on how to the fix problems.
Some of the other problems this Webinar will address include:
-- Activations fail with the following message: "An error has occurred. Please contact your system administrator"
-- BlackBerry shows "Activating," and then "Retrying," but activation eventually fails with the following message: "The server is not responding. Please contact your System Administrator"
-- Activation fails with the following error "Activation error: Contact Service Administrator"
-- Activation hangs at the "Waiting for Services" stage
-- Activation hangs during the slow synchronization process
