Andiamo Telecom Picks PhoenixSoft's Cirrus Softswitch Platform

Scottsdale, Arizona-based retail and wholesale VoIP and traditional telephony services provider, Andiamo Telecom, recently picked PhoenixSoft's Cirrus Softswitch platform to help the company upgrade its global telecommunications network and provide enhanced network switching, Class 5 features, broadband telephony and retail Web applications.

 

Andiamo Telecom (News - Alert) provides a wide range of services including pre-paid calling cards, toll free and long distance calling, local phone service in Arizona, domestic and international operator services, and nationwide dial-up Internet services.

 

Andiamo was searching for a proven and innovative switching solution, explained Paul Amick (News - Alert), PhoenixSoft's co-founder. Because their previous provider was not able to offer the VoIP services they needed, Andiamo upgraded to PhoenixSoft's advanced Cirrus Softswitch platform.

 

Cirrus Softswitch is allowing Andiamo to add a range of broadband Class 5 features, and applications like online payment processing, customizable billing solutions, and enhanced customer care capabilities. Andiamo is using a facilities-based model to allow maximum flexibility in business operations.

 

Having its own switch will allow Andiamo to offer its customers a diverse portfolio of products, custom rate plans, innovative applications and overall telecommunications savings.
