Aiming to dispel businesses’ concerns over VoIP quality, IP communications provider Intelliverse announced it has improved the quality and reliability for its hosted VoIP services, Talking Planet Business and callEverywhere. The company has implemented a comprehensive media path optimization (MPO) that is expected to ensure top performance and quality on all calls for Intelliverse’s customers.

 

The completion of the MPO project has enabled Intelliverse to release calls back to the carrier that will allow the Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) stream to flow directly from the originating caller to the called party, without being pined up through Intelliverse’s switches. The result is a minimized path that the call must take over the Internet and through the carriers’ network. The quality of the call is increased as the latency is reduced.

As turnkey solutions, Talking Planet and callEverywhere are fully customizable to meet business objectives, maximize profitability and extend competitive advantage. Talking Planet Business is a hosted VoIP service that is sold to service providers, while callEverywhere is the same solutions sold through the agent channel. Deployments generally include 4-port and 8-port IAD units combined with residential units and SoftPhones when needed.
