ClearSight Unveils Network Time Machine 7.0By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributing Editor ClearSight Networks, a provider of application and analysis tools for today’s dynamic networks, has unveiled version 7.0 of its network capture appliance, Network Time Machine (NTM).
This upgraded version enables network administrators to offer enhanced 3G Mobile VoIP experience to their customers and meet the demands of increasing mobile Internet services.
The ClearSight NTM is designed to provide unprecedented levels of prevention and diagnosis on Ethernet based networks and the solution allows extended capture and store capabilities coupled with deep packet monitoring, inspection and analysis functionality.
ClearSight noted that present day corporate networks carry multiple tiers of data from voice traffic to video to email information and the emergence of VoIP service will only attract companies to use mobile VoIP more frequently - which will multiply the already increasing network traffic.
Traditional protocol analyzers cannot provide the sophisticated diagnosis and prevention capabilities necessary to manage maintain and support even the most modest of enterprise networks.
All acute, chronic and systemic problems occurring in the networks have to be quickly sorted and solved. According to the company this new version has the capacity to meet the challenges of maximizing the quality of service (QoS) related to voice transmissions in wireless communications and deliver a high quality end-to-end mobile VoIP experience.
NTM 7.0 captures and analyzes data from audio and visual network transmissions such as video conferencing, multimedia entertainment services, telemedicine, surveillance, live video broadcasting and video-on-demand. The captured data is monitored extensively and relevant meaningful measurements like LAN metric, graphs, statistics and alerts that are generated are accessible to NTM users through a powerful, but simple-to-use graphical user interface.
