Nuvio Enhances its Real-time Applications and Cloud Computing SolutionsBy Nathesh, TMCnet Contributing Editor Nuvio has announced it standardized on U4EA's Fusion series of Multi-service Business Gateways (MSBG) with its cloud computing platform. This, according to the company, is part of its intentions to become a premier provider of multiple hosted services to small and medium businesses (SMB).
The company says they have opted to conform to the standards of U4EA’s (News - Alert) solution in order to improve their hosted services, VoIP and SIP trunking. They also have plans to incorporate video and collaboration services at later stages.
Nuvio (News - Alert) is a hosted business and communications service provider offering a complete suite of business solutions to small and medium-sized organizations. The company states that their business systems are based on cloud computing technology that utilizes the latest advances in Internet delivery mechanisms and custom designed switching fabric to improve efficiency and decrease overhead for the end-user.
The U4EA multi-service business gateways (MSBGs) delivers voice, video, data, and security services. Fusion Business Gateways provide firewall, NAT, VPN support, multiple WAN interface types, and emergency connections to the PSTN. The solution can help service providers tackle the challenges of providing unified communications and compatibility to their systems to handle both next generation and legacy networks.
The Fusion series Gateways are based on U4EA’s Guarantee of Service (GoS) technology that can simultaneously deliver quality for multiple, simultaneous real-time and non-real-time services while maximizing network utilization at wire speed. It can also provide flexibility and control over the quality of traffic when handling the convergence of apps like VoIP and interactive video services.
Also, only U4EA's GoS can effectively utilize up to 90 percent of the WAN bandwidth for real time applications, saving money for the customer and service provider in addition to guaranteeing quality.
