By Shireen Dee, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Motorola, Inc., a provider of broadband communications infrastructure, enterprise mobility and public safety solutions, reportedly announced that Salesforce.com (News - Alert)-based in the enterprise cloud computing space, has become the 100th validated Motorola partner application, after successfully completing Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility Validation program for Salesforce Customer Relationship Management Mobile.

This represents a significant enhancement to Motorola’s (News - Alert) mobile workforce and its mobile computing customers will have a Salesforce.com validated application.

“Reaching our 100th validation with Salesforce.com is a strong testament to Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility Global Solution Centers, and the value provided to Motorola partners and customers. The Enterprise Mobility Validation Program offers customers the confidence that an integrated solution such as Motorola mobile computers coupled with Salesforce CRM Mobile can meet their mobility needs. The validation ensures that the growing mobile workforce will have access to information that enables them to make better decisions that yield better business results,” said Janet Schijns, vice president of worldwide channels, distribution, and alliances for Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility business.

The long-standing partnership between Motorola and Salesforce.com has been further strengthened by validation of Salesforce CRM Mobile, which enables delivery of business-critical applications and customer data over the enterprise. A series of rigorous tests were performed on Salesforce CRM Mobile, to ensure seamless integration with Motorola’s MC35 and MC75 Enterprise Digital Assistant. Thereby Motorola’s partners and customers are assured that the deployed products are fully interoperable with their enterprise mobility solution.

Tools that enable enhanced development and deployment of applications are provided to Motorola partners by the validation process, which in turn enable reduced time to market and increase customer satisfaction. Manufacturing, healthcare, supply chain, retail, energy and utilities industries are the key targets of Motorola partners’ go-to-market strategy in which the Motorola-Salesforce.com partnership is a vital element. Each registered user will avail a highly configurable software platform that enables the user experience to be customized.

Mobilization of Salesforce CRM, applications developed on the Force.com platform is possible using Salesforce CRM Mobile for specific modules such as custom field service, asset management, route accounting and warehouse management applications, and other on-demand applications from the Force.com AppExchange marketplace to address specific business requirements.

Motorola’s home and broadcast network products include set-top boxes, digital video recorders, and network equipment used to enable video broadcasting, computer telephony, and high-definition television.
