Enablement Services 3.1. Avaya’s SIP Enablement Services act as a bridge between the PSTN and the Internet by offering a standards-based architecture for telephony, and instant messaging (IM).
“We are pleased that our media gateways have passed Avaya’s interoperability test, providing the enterprise customer a truly open, standards-based, cost-effective, IP communications solution,” said Lior Moyal, vice president of Marketing for the CPE Business Line, North America at AudioCodes in a statement.
AudioCodes is a member of the Avaya DeveloperConnection Program, which was assembled in order to develop and co-market third-party products that interoperate with Avaya's technologies. AudioCodes’ membership to Avaya’s DeveloperConnection Program allows the company to submit products and services for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab located Lincroft, New Jersey.
“By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like AudioCodes who are members of our DeveloperConnection program, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities,” stated Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances at Avaya. “They are able to use Intelligent Communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over whatever device they have available—getting more out of their multivendor network and delivering new value to their bottom line.”
AudioCodes recently announced that it also
completed compatibility testing for its media gateway platforms using Digium's Asterisk Business Edition, the professional grade version of Asterisk (
