Cbeyond to Present Cloud Communications Benefits at ITEXPO East

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

IT and communications services provider Cbeyond will present at ITEXPO East, being held through Friday, Feb. 4. The company will focus on cloud communications for small and medium sized businesses in a session entitled: “Trends and the Future of VoIP/Telco 2.0 – The Emergence of Cloud Telephony.”

A bi-annual telephony tradeshow and symposium, ITEXPO serves to educate resellers, enterprises, small and medium businesses and government agencies regarding the challenges and technologies related to IP-based voice, data, fax and unified communications.

Cbeyond’s (News - Alert) Cloud Services president, Brooks Robinson, will be presenting at the expo on a number of panels focused on the emergence of cloud services. The panel topics include:

  • “Mobile Clouds – Where Cloud Communications and Mobile Intersect (News - Alert)” on Thursday, Feb. 3 at 3 p.m. EST
  • “Will Cloud Kill the PBX? Or Will it Kill the Channel?” on Friday, Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. EST.

The company’s vice president of sales and marketing for the Cloud Services division, Jeff Uphues, is also scheduled to present on a panel discussion entitled: “SMB Cloud Communications: What’s Hot and What’s Not.” This presentation will take place on Thursday, Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. EST.

A division of Cbeyond, the Cbeyond Cloud Services segment of the company is focused on the integration and simplification of business-class technology services in the cloud designed for small and medium businesses. Focused on supporting companies in more than 60 countries throughout the world, Cbeyond Cloud Services offers virtual servers, managed dedicated servers, cloud PBXs and software as a service (SaaS (News - Alert)).

For its part, Cbeyond has been providing small businesses with leading IT and communications solutions for more than a decade. The company offers more than 30 productivity-enhancing applications, such as local and long-distance voice, broadband Internet, mobile, BlackBerry (News - Alert), voicemail, e-mail, Web hosting, data backup, cloud services and more.

Cbeyond has done well to strike a healthy balance of products/services, distribution channels and technology development. “We’re financially sound with no debt and 53,000 customers in 14 markets,” said Brad Linden (News - Alert), vice president and general manager of sales at Cbeyond, in a recent TMCnet video interview.

The company was also recently named No. 5 on Forbes' list of the "Best Companies for Job Offers." The rankings recognize publicly traded companies with at least 1,000 employees, a history of steadily rising payrolls and the prospect of strong top-line growth.
