Digium Customers Provided with Easy Access to Ditech Voice Quality Assurance Algorithms

By Jaclyn Allard, TMCnet Copy Editor

Recently, Ditech Networks (News - Alert) has been identified as seeing an uptrend in the market. On September 17, 2010 Ditech was reported at $1.24 per share, and in approximately four months, Ditech Networks has returned 13.8 percent as of today's recent price of $1.41. This is not all Ditech has to be excited about at the close of 2010 and the start of 2011. The provider of voice processing systems has also announced Ken Naumann as Vice President of Worldwide Sales. "We are excited to have Ken on board at Ditech. Both his experience in sales management, and his knowledge of complex software based transactions and managed services will be of great benefit to us," said Todd Simpson (News - Alert), Ditech Networks president and CEO.

Now, Ditech Networks brings more good news at the start of ITEXPO East; it has entered into a marketing partnership with Digium (News - Alert) Inc., creator and primary sponsor of the highly successful Asterisk telephony project, making Ditech's Voice Quality Assurance (VQA) algorithms available to the Asterisk developer community. The algorithms were available to the millions of users of the Asterisk Open Source (News - Alert) Telephony Project back in October of 2010, but with the new partnership, Asterisk developers can access them directly, pinpointing issues within the voice path.

Asterisk and Digium customers can now download an easy-to-install software module for Asterisk VQA software from either the Ditech or Digium websites.

"Ditech's VQA software nicely complements the Asterisk platform by giving developers easy to use tools to understand and manage their voice quality," said Rod Montgomery, director of Services of Digium. "We are very pleased to now offer Ditech's VQA directly to our Asterisk customers, giving them a solid software platform they can use to improve voice quality on their networks."

In recent news, Steve Sokol, Asterisk marketing director, and Angie Reed, Product Marketing manager for Switchvox with Digium, will be presenting at ITEXPO (News - Alert) East this week. Sokol will be reviewing the latest enhancements to the Asterisk open source communications engine. Reed will be presenting the Understanding the Value of Switchvox.

Digium is a Diamond sponsor of ITEXPO East 2011. To be held Feb. 2-4 in Miami, ITEXPO is the world’s premier IP communications event. Visit Digium in booth No. 901. Don’t wait. Register now.
