Dialectic Networks Launched as an IBM/System x Reseller of Virtualized Solutions

By Anshu Shrivastava, TMCnet Contributor

Dialectic Networks has announced its re-emergence as an IBM (News - Alert)/System x reseller and IT services company that is focused on creating a “savings triangle” for its customers.

In order to provide a “savings triangle” for its customers, the company is using the latest developments in open source software, modular data center designs and cloud computing using trusted IBM hardware and software.

Industry experts say that energy costs are rising and there is a growing demand for highly available compute and storage capacity that can quickly scale, modular and/or portable modular data center (PMDC) environments.

DN said that it helps implement these environments that offer reduced up-front capital and on-going operational expenses in comparison to traditional “brick and mortar” installations.

Thanks to virtualized environments and cloud computing solutions, DN's total cost of ownership designs are expected to result in fewer front-end construction costs, lower overall costs for power and cooling and lower costs to manage with time and labor-saving efficiencies.

“Our customers are looking to scale into a high availability system instead of a single-dedicated server that isn't fault tolerant,” said Lee Hansen, CEO at Dialectic Networks.

Through the new modular data center solutions, Dialectic Networks helps companies scale out to having redundant systems either via private or public cloud environments in a fully functional data center from virtually anywhere using the latest technology, Hansen said.

By utilizing open source software, the savings to the customers are maximized and have allowed the company to become “the open, cloud and containerized data center experts,” added Hansen.

In addition to integrating the physical components, software, and infrastructure, DN also offers implementation services for private/public/or hybrid cloud computing environments to its customers, including migration and software management.

Generally, the company recommends x86 servers and storage from a full range of IBM rack-mounted servers/blades, including iDataPlex servers for increased density and XIV storage for reliability and power savings.
