Nimbuzz Partners with Social Networks to Offer Real Time Web and Mobile Communication

Nimbuzz, a company that provides mobile voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), presence and instant messaging (IM) services, said it has entered into a revenue sharing partnership with StudiVZ, the biggest German speaking social network site.

 

The partnership with StudiVZ is the first in a series of partnerships with international networking sites to integrate Nimbuzz technology into its community, Nimbuzz said. Similar partnerships are expected soon in Turkey, Asia, and Italy, the company said. These partnerships will provide online communities with real time Web and mobile communication.

 

According to Nimbuzz, the integration of Nimbuzz VoIP, presence and IM features to the social networks will enable them to extend their offering beyond their current online networking experience.

 

Nimbuzz offers its Web and mobile clients for StudiVZ members. The entire portfolio including voice calls, chat, file sharing across popular IM communities will be available. Nimbuzz has integrated the Web fully into the existing StudiVZ interface allowing IM conversations between all community members. Also, a link to a bespoke download page will be promoted across the StudiVZ network.

With these new partnerships, Nimbuzz hopes to blend their technology with their existing communities with the resulting product benefiting and adding value to businesses and consumers alike, Lugt added. “This deal is just the beginning for us and we will be making further social network and operator announcements in the very near future.”

 

StudiVZ is one of the largest European social networks with over 12 million members spanning across Germany, Switzerland and Austria. It offers various platforms such as studiVZ.net, schuelerVZ.net and meinVZ.net.
