Webinar Discusses Integrating Visual Into UC The Easy Way

Radvision (News - Alert) is offering a Webinar titled “The Evolution of UC Clients – Visual Communication

Wednesday,” on November 10 at 11AM. ET.

“Unified Communications (News - Alert) is interdisciplinary,” Webinar organizers say, adding that it requires the integration of myriad ocommunication means into a single package: “from e-mails to presence, instant messaging, SMS, voice and video calling. From features to services and business process integration.”

Developers tend to prioritize their tasks from easy to difficult -- as, truth be told, many of us do. When applied to UC, though, that means visual communications usually falls last in the list of features in a UC client. “On the other hand, visual communication impact on the user’s collaboration and productivity is priceless.”

So what we want, then, is to integrate visual communication the easy way. That will be the topic discussed in this webinar by Amit Lavi and Tomer Saar.

Amit Lavi joined Radvision in September 2006 as Project Manager in the Technology Business Unit. Currently he is the Product Manager responsible for client development products from mobile phone to HD solutions for a wide range of networks supporting protocols such as SIP, H.323 and 3G-324M.

Prior to joining Radvision Amit was a Video R&D Team Leader at Intel (News - Alert). In this role he was responsible for defining Intel-DSPC Video telephony and Video Streaming reference products.

Tomer Saar is the Product Manager of BEEHD for Desktop V2oIP client framework. In his role Saar outlines the product’s roadmap and vision and manages all aspects of the product management. Prior to that he worked for five years for several security companies such as Essence Security as video department manager and product manager, introducing camera detectors to alarm systems.

The presentation will be moderated by Carl Ford (News - Alert), Co-Founder of Crossfire Media, focused on the impact of communication technology on consumers and industry. From developing product and service strategies to moderating meetings at ETSI (News - Alert), Carl’s 20+ years have always focused on the impact that service cost, regulatory and marketing issues have in rolling out new services.
