Telco Systems Acquires IP-DSLAM Solution Provider Critical Telecom Corp.
Telco Systems has acquired the assets of
Critical Telecom Corp., a developer of broadband enabling platforms for IP-based access networks. Telco Systems provides carrier-class transport and access solutions for public and private IP and TDM networks.
The Critical GEmini is purpose-built for outside plants. It is an Ethernet remote DSLAM offering integrated GigE backhaul and a modular port scalability architecture. The GEmini leverages an existing copper infrastructure to deliver fiber-grade services at a low total cost of deployment.
The GEmini offers non-blocking ADSL2+, which enables applications like VoIP, triple-play services, IPTV (

Alert) and high-speed Internet access. The product line is now part of Telco Systems and will be support from the company’s existing facility in Ottawa, Canada. Telco Systems’ suite of products offers solutions for Metro Ethernet Access Rings, residential and enterprise VoIP, FTTx, SONET, WiFi (

Alert) and T1 backhaul.
