Black Box Co Acquires Network Communications

Black Box (News - Alert) Corporation, a technical services company offering data and voice infrastructure systems, announced that it has acquired Network Communications Technologies (NCT), a provider of networking connectivity services.



 
Following the acquisition, Mr. Fairman, former NCT Chief Operating Officer, will continue with the business as regional operations manager. He will be reporting to Mr. Gary Williams, vice president and regional general manager for Black Box’s voice services operations.
 
Williams said, “We are excited about increasing our market share in the Carolinas with the acquisition of NCT. They will now have the capability to provide additional Voice, Data and Hotline services to meet their customers’ increasing demands for multi-location support.”
 
Charlotte, NC-based NCT is a privately-held company. It has an active customer base which includes commercial, education and various government agencies. The company represents nearly $10 Million in annual historical data service revenues.
 
Scott Fairman, said, “This is a great opportunity for NCT. Not only will we have the Black Box name behind us, but also the capability to expand our offerings for existing customers and the resources to gain additional customers.”
 
Black Box offers comprehensive communications and infrastructure solutions. Its communications solutions include unified communications, VoIP, and mobility. It also builds and maintains wired, wireless, and hybrid infrastructures. It also provides different networking products such as fiber optic patch cables, fiber wall cabinets, security cabinets, server cabinets, ServSwitch wireless KVM extender and more.
 
Black Box is a certified partner of Cisco systems. Other partners include NEC, Nortel (News - Alert), ShoreTel, Siemens and more.
 
Black Box claims to have 175,000 clients in 141 countries with 191 offices spread geographically across the globe.
