Learn International Telecom Expense Management from Xpensert at ITEXPOBy Janice McDuffee, TMC Copy Editor Telecom Expense Management has an international voice to be highlighted by Xpensert Co-Founder and Business Development Director, Juan C. Mendez at ITEXPO (News - Alert) East 2011. Xpensert’s largest base of clients remains in Columbia, where the telecom expense management company originated. Two years ago, the company moved its headquarters to New York, in an effort to infiltrate the international market. Mendez said he will be highlight how companies can take advantage of discounts and reduced prices telecom companies. “Even if the unit cost of telecommunications is coming down, when we talk to companies, we see that people are actually spending more.” He noted that the biggest difference the company sees in telecom expense management globally, is while the rate of reduction in usage in Latin America has continued to climb with the costs in the United States and Europe, the cost per unit in Latin America has actually gone up while the cost per unit in the U.S. and Europe continues to decrease. He attributes this to less competition in Latin American markets, where duopolies or just a few big players are in place, with much more control over the market than in the respective countries. See Mendez speak tomorrow at 1:30 at the session “If Wireless Expenses Keep Going Down, Why do my Costs Keep Rising?” Want to learn more about the latest in communications & technology?
