OCTASIC Participates in ITEXPO West, 2010By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor James Awad, product manager of Octasic Inc., will be joining representatives from RADVISION and MASERGY (News - Alert) for a panel entitled “Building Better HD Video Conferencing & Collaboration Systems.” Octasic is an innovator of media processing and wireless solutions and developer of the high performance, low power asynchronous DSP core, Opus. The company notes that networks are improving these days in order to support video more effectively, and thus it is the right moment for broad market adoption of video conferencing and collaboration systems. Attendees of the program will get useful insight into both audio and video aspects of today’s conferencing systems. They will also know about the various criteria that are used to evaluate them, including round-trip delay, lip-sync, smooth motion, bit-rate required, visual artifacts and network traversal, and pure audio quality.
