Aculab to Showcase Enhanced Prosody S at ITEXPO
By Greg Galitzine, Group Editorial Director
Aculab ( News - Alert) has announced an upgraded release of Prosody S, extending the feature set of its award-winning host media processing (HMP) technology to include support for T.38 fax; enhanced SIP security, all progress tone detection; higher channel counts, and four new audio codecs.
According to Aculab, Prosody S enables solution providers to integrate VoIP into their solutions. The key to the software is its ability to mix media processing features (IVR , fax, conferencing…) on any host CPU — from a laptop to a fully featured blade server.
The company is a Diamond Sponsor of the upcoming Internet Telephony Conference and EXPO, January 23–26 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and they are participating in a big way. For starters, Aculab vice president Mike Donoghue will speak to the assembled crowd with a Keynote address. And, in addition to displaying the latest products and solutions on the Exhibit Hall floor, Aculab subject matter experts, including Faye McClenahan, head of strategic marketing will be educating conference attendees on a diverse array of topics including HMP, SIP, and VoIP development.
Regarding the new release of Prosody S, McClenahan said, “Attitudes towards host-based media processing are changing. It is no longer seen as a technology that is suited to just small scale solutions or price sensitive markets. It is now being viewed ‘as the future’ of many different types of solution — from conferencing and online gaming platforms, to contact centers and media servers. Aculab is taking steps to enhance Prosody S further to allow a greater number of solution providers to take advantage of the benefits a software-based solution can bring them.”
According to Sales and Marketing Director Chris Gravett, Aculab is kicking off a busy year with their appearance at ITEXPO. According to Gravett, in addition to the trade show, “We will be holding a partner conference in London, UK later this year. These types of events provide ongoing opportunities for the market to learn more about our plans and indeed, give developers the chance to influence our development priorities to meet their specific business needs.”
Aculab will be in booth 1217.
