Officescape Connects American Soldiers with Loved Ones via Video Conference
By Stefania Viscusi, TMCnet Assistant Editor
Video conferencing has emerged as a key way to conduct communications regardless of the physical location of participants.
For families with members currently serving in Iraq, this technology offers a way to keep in touch with their loved ones during their time away.
In a bid to allow service personnel stationed in or around Taji, Iraq to keep in touch with their loved ones back home, Officescape ( News - Alert) has announced a partnership with Freedom Calls Foundation that will offer American troops free video conferencing.
Officescape's Conference@anywhere services offer businesses Audio Conference, Video Conference & Bridging, Webconference and Event & Conference Center capabilities that reduce travel needs and save time.
The Conference@anywhere network has a large national footprint that extends nationwide and worldwide, through partner locations, so videoconferences are more easily accessible and convenient for businesses and families of service members.
Officescape also noted that one of their Indianapolis locations will be used tomorrow to allow Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels to videoconference with Hoosier troops deployed at Camp Taji, Iraq, for a word of encouragement.
