Sagem-Interstar's IP Fax Server Now Avaya 4.0.1 Compliant

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Sagem-Interstar’s (News - Alert) XMediusFAX Release 5.5 boardless (software-only) T.38 Fax over IP (FoIP) server solution has been rated “Avaya (News - Alert) Compliant” with Avaya’s Communication Manager 4.0.1.

According to Jean Champagne, general manager of Sagem-Interstar, Sagem-Interstar is an Avaya DevConnect (News - Alert) Partner and a technology leader in the Avaya VoIP community. He said in a statement that their Avaya-Compliant XMediusFAX is deployed in more than 40 countries, and prevails in the global market as the fax server with the largest number of boardless T.38 FoIP integrations with Avaya VoIP equipment.

By leveraging Avaya VoIP and IP Telephony platforms, XMediusFAX enables organizations to boost productivity, collaborate more efficiently, reduce costs, achieve regulatory compliance, and streamline administration.

Ranked as the No. 1 IP fax server solution for the 6th consecutive year since 2002, Sagem (News - Alert)-Interstar’s XMediusFAX Release 5.5 is a truly boardless fax server software that interoperates with Avaya Communication Manager VoIP gateways without the need of investing in fax boards and third-party software kits. The company emphasizes that the latest evolution of XMediusFAX positions itself as an essential component to any unified communications and converged IP network infrastructure.

V 5.5 boasts new features such as a unique, built-in Python scripting capability for easy and customizable integration with a variety of critical business applications. This capability enhances document processing and workflow. In addition, XMediusFAX offers increased flexibility in fax routing, and a new Split Fax function that enables users to manipulate individual fax pages online.

Sagem-Interstar Inc. is the global provider of advanced fax server solutions for IP networks. The company was in news last week for announcing that its new XMediusFAX 5.5.2 fax server will support Cisco (News - Alert) Unified Communication Manager, version 6.1, using SIP trunking.
