Patton and Patton-Inalp Networks AG have announced availability of their Model SN4960 Multiport PRI Integrated Access Device. The new IAD has been validated in a number of carrier trials and a substantial order backlog has been built up. Patton offers network access, connectivity and VoIP
solutions while Patton-Inalp is the creator of the SmartNode brand of VoIP technology solutions.
The IAD was announced in August, and Patton subsequently launched the Prime Mover Advantage promotion. This offered the solution to early adopters of the PRI VoIP equipment at a quarter of the cost of comparable alternatives. The new SN4960/1E30V IAD is single-span and can handle 30 calls.
It offers dual gigabit-Ethernet
ports as well as a six-year track record of successful deployments through satisfied carriers with the SmartNode brand. The solution provides a number of telephony interfaces as well as interoperability with major brands of software switches, making it adaptable for interoperation with standard and proprietary network architectures.
“Customer response has been overwhelming,” said Scott Whittle, Patton’s vice president of product management, in a press release. “The VoIP market immediately recognized the tremendous value proposition. We are pleased to exceed our customer’s expectations. For us, the next-wave of VoIP has arrived.”
“We are proud of the SN4960 but our efforts don’t stop there,” said Marco Liechti, Patton’s product manager. “When you combine hard work with the best engineers and technology, you keep innovating. We will soon ship these units with integrated xDSL interfaces for true single-box voice, data, and triple-play networking. Now that’s exciting.”
