Casting firms, House Production & Casting of New York City, and Exclusive Casting Studios of Los Angeles, will use LifeSize Room, a high-definition video communications solution from LifeSize, to hold concurrent events, according to an announcement made by Austin-based LifeSize on Thursday.
LifeSize Room is a revolutionary product from LifeSize that allows people sitting in two different ends of the world to interact through high-definition video and audio communication at any bandwidth.
Both House and Exclusive boast of elite clientele including acclaimed directors, productions houses and advertising firms. In the past, both studios have successfully carried out auditions of models and actors between the two locations via LifeSize Room. This facility has not only helped directors save precious time, which they would otherwise have spent traveling from one location to another, but has also helped the studios cut down on expenses. With the state-of-the-art design and the cutting-edge technology of LifeSize Room, it is possible for talent-hunters to see, with true-to-life clarity, the aspirants performing from miles away.
Now, the studios will use LifeSize Room to party together. They will be able to arrange simultaneous gatherings in which more than 400 guests sitting in two different cities will be able to interact and socialize with one another through the finest quality of video being projected on enormous screens. It will be a truly shared experience with common music making it a one big party. Masergy, the technology partner of LifeSize, will also chip in by providing Internet connection services and support.
The sentiment in both studios, over the development is that of exuberance and cheer.
“Ever since we started using LifeSize high-definition video communications between New York and Los Angeles, we thought it would be great to host and connect simultaneous events so guests could have a very unique party experience,” said Adam Joseph, the casting and creative director at House Production & Casting, in a
press release. “Our clients that have been leveraging LifeSize Room to source remote talent have been amazed with the results. We look forward to our bi-coastal party guests having similar reactions as they share conversations and interactions over video just like they would in person.”
LifeSize is also happy with the development.
“House Production & Casting and Exclusive Casting are representative of the new genre of video communications users,” said Craig Malloy, chief executive of LifeSize. “Connecting simultaneous events between remote locations with legacy video conferencing systems would never have created a true-to-life experience. Only through LifeSize high-definition video communications can such a concept actually be realized and truly enjoyed.”
