Eicon Networks and Pactolus to Co-present SIP Session at IMS EXPO
By Mae Kowalke, TMCnet Associate Editor
The main goal of IMS is to provide ubiquitous access to all existing and future Internet services. A key objective toward reaching that goal is the adoption of SIP as a control protocol, thereby enabling immediate access to some of today’s most popular and fastest growing multimedia services.
The session will be held October 11 from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m., and is open to all registered conference attendees. Among the presenters for the session are Ruben Martinez, Senior Systems Engineer at Eicon Networks; and Ken Osowski, VP Marketing & Product Management at Pactolus.
“SIP’s Role in IMS” will focus on the benefits SIP brings to IMS, including the flexibility to combine multiple services from different vendors to form new services. Attendees will learn how innovations in SIP-based applications allow IMS users to introduce new multimedia services to their customers.
Eicon and Pactolus also will be exhibiting at the show. Attendees can find out more about he companies by visiting their booths, #318 (IT EXPO) and #918 (IMS EXPO), respectively. For even more on the companies, check out their channels on TMCnet.com: IP Telephony (Eicon) and Broadband Telephony ( Pactolus).
