Speech technology provider Loquendo (News - Alert) has announced the addition of two new members to it family of voices, extending the total number of languages to 23 and the total number of voices to 54.

 

The latest members, Carmela and Empar, offer new female voices for markets in Spain in both Galician and Valencian. This is in addition to the already supported Castilian Spanish and Catalan.

 

Carmela, the new female Galician voice and Empar, the new female Valencian voice, offer features like advanced pronunciation accuracy, heightened naturalness, vocal intonations, and full support for the X-SAMPA phonetic alphabet.

 

Also, as with all Loquendo voices, they include an emotional component and expressive capabilities that make the voices truly lifelike including the ability to sigh, cry, laugh and easily pronounce everyday expressions.

This latest release for the markets in Spain, "demonstrates the growing investment Loquendo is making in supporting all the languages in Spain, extending Loquendo’s reach and reinforcing the positions of the company and its partners in the rapidly expanding Spanish markets."
