Dialogic Execs to Present at Communications Developer Conference

Dialogic (News - Alert) Corporation, a provider of open systems platforms to both the Enterprise and Service Provider markets, has announced that James Rafferty, director of gateway product management, and Jeff Van Dyke, director of technology, of Dialogic will present at Communications Developer Conference at ITEXPO (News - Alert) West 2008.   



 
Through his work with the Internet Engineering Task Force and the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), Rafferty is active in the standards process. He played a key role in the development of the T.37 and T.38 IP fax standards and the Megaco/H.248 standards. Rafferty also co-authored a number of IETF RFC standards. 
 
At Communication Developer Conference collocated ITEXPO West, Rafferty will participate in the “IMS & ATCA” session, which is scheduled for September 16, 2008 from 12:45 - 1:30 p.m. This session will address the issues facing network operators as they move to reinvent themselves and increase revenue.
 
Van Dyke has also made significant contribution to industry and standards organizations such as the IETF and W3C (News - Alert), helping to shape SIP and VXML standards for IP media servers in next-generation networks.
 
Van Dyke is the principal author of RFC 4240 “Basic Network Media Services with SIP” and RFC 5022 “Media Server Control Markup Language and Protocol.”
 
At the conference, Van Dyke will present during the “Exploring Next-Generation Video Standards” session. Scheduled for September 18, 2008 from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m, this session will examine the advantages and disadvantages of 3G 324M and Video over IP, and the ramifications of adoption in the U.S.
