MEDecision Inks Strategic Partnership Agreement with Emmi SolutionsBy Anshu Shrivastava, TMCnet Contributor MEDecision, a provider of collaborative health care management solutions, has announced that it has entered a strategic partnership with Emmi Solutions, a provider of interactive patient engagement programs.
This latest partnership is expected to enable MEDecision augment its payer-based electronic health records with streaming Web-based programs. Company officials said that the partnership with Emmi Solutions will allow MEDecision to incorporate Emmi programs into its Alineo collaborative healthcare management platform.
The integration is expected to provide MEDecision’s healthcare payer customers with an ability to furnish their members with email links to interactive and trackable Web-based content regarding certain conditions, procedures, medications and related information specific to the individual patient.
Officials said that for example an asthma patient, incorrectly or inconsistently using an inhaler, will be sent a link to an Emmi program demonstrating how to better use the device. Then, the member may interact with care providers via the Emmi program by sending any questions or comments.
Ron Rooth, CEO at Emmi Solutions, said that by teaming Emmi programs with MEDecision’s Alineo, “we can engage patients with timely, helpful information in a way that is efficient and scalable.”
“Combining Emmi Solution’s technology with Alineo enables us to help consumers become more involved in their own care,” added Scott A. Storrer, president and COO at MEDecision.
Healthcare organizations use Emmi’s Web-based programs to “cost effectively” scale their care management programs along with increasing overall member engagement, while MEDecision’s Alineo simplifies integration with other internal and external medical management systems.
