Irish Wireless Inks Distribution Agreement with RADWIN

RADWIN, a provider of wireless broadband solutions, and Irish Wireless of Ireland have reportedly signed an agreement allowing Irish Wireless to distribute RADWIN’s wireless broadband systems in Ireland as well as provide training and support to customers.



 
Shannon, County Clare, Ireland-based Irish Wireless specializes in selling wireless equipments from a broad range of antennae to indoor and outdoor devices, cables and accessories. The company also provides training and consultancy service to entrepreneurs, network specialists and system integrators who are in need of training in the deployment of outdoor networking devices.
RADWIN is a provider of wireless backhaul and broadband access solutions in the sub-6GHz spectrum. The sub-6GHz spectrum enables the company to empower carriers and service providers to connect subscribers everywhere, says company.
 
According to RADWIN, its point-to-point and multiple-point-to-point wireless solutions facilitates service providers to deliver high speed end-to-end broadband access services, while the company’s cellular backhaul solutions facilitate cellular operators to reach out to rural subscribers as well as helps to deliver enhanced service in urban areas.
 
Sharon Sher, president and CEO at RADWIN, said in a statement: “Backhauling is a major challenge for carriers who want to expand their networks with maximum speed and minimum costs. Our license exempt systems incorporate the most advanced technologies, allowing carriers to provide cellular backhauling with carrier-class reliability at the most competitive price. To date the RADWIN WinLink 1000 systems have been deployed by fixed and mobile carriers in more than 70 countries.”
 
RADWIN’s WinLink 1000 wireless broadband systems are radio systems that provide both TDM as well as Ethernet transmission with high capacity connectivity.
 
Gurmukh Neote, CEO of Irish Wireless, said: “Our joint partnership combines RADWIN’s best-in-class solutions together with Irish Wireless’ expertise in distributing wireless equipment. By joining forces we can provide customers with high performance wireless links delivering native TDM and Ethernet – up to 16 E1s – with up to 100 Mbps capacity for distances of up to 120 Km.
 
Yaron Ziv, RADWIN’s sales director, Europe, said that the partnership between both the companies will facilitate customers in Ireland with high-quality wireless broadband.
 
Ziv added: “Our point-to-point radios set new performance standards in the industry and are the ideal solution for cellular operators, wireless ISPs, private networks and CCTV networks. Ireland is a market where the demand for wireless broadband and the need to reach out to rural areas is rapidly growing, and with our solutions in place operators can expand their networks quickly and affordably like never before.”
