At ITEXPO today, the company introduced the 8x8 Virtual Office Pro, the Virtual Office Mobile VoIP iPhone (News - Alert) Application and the Virtual Office Online Dashboard.

8x8 Virtual Office Pro

First on the list, the “8x8 (News - Alert) Virtual Office Pro,” is a powerful unified communications service designed to allow subscribers to manage essential, advanced business communications functions online, through a centralized portal. 

Virtual Office Pro is fully integrated with the 8x8 Virtual Office VoIP hosted PBX phone service and enhances business productivity by providing users with a complete and instantly accessible suite of communication tools used in everyday business interactions, at a reasonable cost.

The 8x8 Virtual Office Mobile is a WiFi (News - Alert)-driven extension of the 8x8 Virtual Office VoIP business phone service that is customized for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. The application is available in the App Store and enables subscribers to utilize their Virtual Office phone number and service remotely from within any WiFi zone.

By converting an iPhone or iPod Touch to a Virtual Office extension, it provides users with access to the features, functionality and built-in cost savings of the powerful 8x8 Virtual Office hosted PBX phone service, which includes unlimited inbound and outbound domestic calling and overseas calling at competitive 8x8 international rates.

 

Inbound calls to the Virtual Office extension can be retrieved from either an 8x8 IP desktop phone, the 8x8 Virtual Office Pro unified communications portal or the iPhone iPod Touch mobile handset. Outbound calls are also possible directly through the mobile handset and users can perform extended functions they would enjoy in the office.

Users gain the ability to designate any convenient handset or computer headset to place and receive calls from, dial directly from a corporate directory or Microsoft (News - Alert) Outlook contact database, set call handling rules, listen to voicemail online and view a comprehensive listing of voicemails, phone calls and chats.
