FaxBack Announces New Partner Program at ITEXPO

By Tim Gray, TMCnet Web Editor

FaxBack (News - Alert) announced today at ITEXPO West a new partner program for its VoIP plug-in for Microsoft Fax that's designed to bring the desktop fax solution into the VoIP realm for SMB customers.

A provider of VoIP fax server solutions for business, enterprise and carrier applications, the company is offering the new program to telecom equipment makers and service providers for free.

Brian Keep, director of marketing at FaxBack, said giving away Microsoft (News - Alert) Fax VoIP Plug-in to partners targeting the SMB space will provide a convenient fax solution into their offerings.

In addition, the move is expected to open the gates for the company’s NET (News - Alert) SatisFAXtion VoIP Fax Server in the larger enterprise market.

According to Keep, it wasn’t until FaxBack released its certified VoIP plug in that Microsoft’s analog fax technology no longer required users to connect to a PBX via modem.

Microsoft Fax – which is included in the business versions of the Windows operating system – is now enabling SMB and enterprise customers to combine the simplicity of Microsoft Fax with the cost savings of VoIP through FaxBack’s VoIP plug-in, he said.

The Oregon-based outfit is exhibiting at ITEXPO West in the Los Angeles Convention Center from Sept. 1 to 3. The event is slated to provide an overall educational program that teaches resellers, enterprises, SMBs, and Government Agencies how to select IP-based voice, video, fax and unified communications to purchase or resell.

Faxback is a Gold Sponsor of the ITEXPO event and are exhibiting in booth #435.

“We invite anyone at ITEXPO who offers a VoIP solution or service to visit our booth, to learn more about partnering opportunities with FaxBack,” said Keep.

Among those likely interested are the three segments FaxBack’s Microsoft Fax Partner Program is targeted towards in IP communications industry:
  • Media Gateway (News - Alert) providers
  • IP-PBX providers
  • And VoIP service providers and carriers

FaxBack is expecting the giveaway of Microsoft VoIP Fax Plug-in away to add value to its partners by helping extend their offerings with VoIP-fax capabilities that enable their end users to send, receive, print and manage faxes directly from their desktop.

“Our Quadro IP-PBXs deliver the IP-communications capabilities that SMB, SOHO, and small enterprise customers seek, at dramatically reduced costs,” said Warren Sonnen, director of Product Management for Epygi Technologies.  “By working with FaxBack, we’re able to deliver more of a true, unified-communications solution, by adding desktop fax and print-to-fax capabilities into our offerings.”

In addition, for partners targeting service providers that sell to larger enterprise and carrier markets, the new partner program provides a step towards working together to incorporate FaxBack’s carrier-grade Net SatisFAXtion VoIP-Server into their offerings.

“Many service providers see value in offering reliable hosted fax solutions to their enterprise and SMB customers,  and we’re working with FaxBack to ensure interoperability between FaxBack’s range of VoIP-fax solutions and our Tmedia family of carrier-grade media gateways,” said Bill Kelly, director of Business Development and Partner Alliances for TelcoBridges.

FaxBack’s Microsoft Fax VoIP Plug-in technology is certified by Microsoft, and leading carriers including AT&T, Qwest (News - Alert), and Global Crossing, among others.
