Alert) Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition software. Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 9, the latest software release, specifically supports the use of Bluetooth wireless headsets with the software.
VXI, however, likes to point out that only the most sophisticated and accurate Bluetooth headsets meet Nuance guidelines for certification. The Nuance Web site states that both the VXI BlueParrott TalkPro B1000-GTX and VXI BlueParrott TalkPro B150-GTX models “passed all tests with Dragon NaturallySpeaking and meets our highest performance and quality standards.”
Jim Sellers, speech recognition product sales manager for VXI, highlighted that his company is excited to receive Nuance certification for its VXI BlueParrott TalkPro Bluetooth headset
solutions. Speech recognition software users are increasingly demanding wireless headset freedom and very few Bluetooth headsets provide the necessary accuracy and performance that Dragon NaturallySpeaking software requires.
Sellers went on to add that the Nuance certification proves that the VXI BlueParrott TalkPro B1000-GTX and B150-GTX Bluetooth wireless headset models deliver excellent accuracy and performance, making them the best Bluetooth headset choice available for Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition software users.
Both the VXI BlueParrott TalkPro B1000-GTX and VXI BlueParrott TalkPro B150-GTX Bluetooth headsets are positioned as providing excellent noise-cancellation performance and accuracy that is not found with competitor Bluetooth headsets designed for use with mobile phones.
Specifically designed for use with speech recognition software, the B1000-GTZ and B150-GTX both utilize a highly accurate speech-recognition grade noise-canceling microphone element. The headset is designed to provide proper microphone positioning with a flexible gooseneck microphone boom to ensure accurate performance and best results.
Both of the BlueParrott headset models feature speech recognition quality microphone, professional grade construction; over-the-head, monaural styling intended to provide greater comfort and stability; gooseneck microphone boom; digital encryption technology; and a two year warranty.
The BlueParrott TalkPro B1000-GTX includes a monaural Bluetooth heads and USB base station. This model is recommended for customers without a Bluetooth-enabled PC.
The BlueParrott TalkPro B150-GTX includes a monaural Bluetooth headset, recharging accessory and AC and auto charging cords. This model is recommended for customers who use a Bluetooth-enabled PC, laptop, Tablet C or are using a Bluetooth accessory to add the functionality to their PC.
Adequate speech recognition capability in a mobile phone has been in high demand for some time. While many headsets offer the functionality, the ease of use of the technology is less than optimal and tends to make the benefit of the feature more of a hassle.
Nuance has made significant advances in this area of technology and to certify VXI’s BlueParrott TalkPro headsets will give VXI great positioning in the market. The added functionality is likely to appeal to the growing number of mobile professionals and it is likely that we will see these headsets offer interoperability with other applications in the future.
