Squire Technologies Helps IP Directions with Microsoft OCS Compliance

By Trupti Kamath, TMCnet Contributor

Squire Technologies, which provides Carrier Grade Telecoms Products and Services to the telecommunication industry worldwide, has partnered with France-based IP Directions, an equipment manufacturer of NGN and TDM telecommunication products and network solutions. The partnership will ensure that IP Directions’s existing Media Gateway (News - Alert) Controller SVI-MGC achieves Microsoft OCS inter-op certification.

Andrew Cooper, managing director at Squire Technologies added, “IP Directions has been a valued customer of ours for nearly 2 years and we were very excited to work with them in enabling full OCS compliance on their existing SVI product. This is another example of how we are able to work with our clients, on their existing equipment, to deliver the future of our industry, today. This philosophy ensures a significant Return On Investment (ROI) for our customers and greatly increases the value of our products and services.”

Franck Maloubier, director of IP Directions, the French Telephony over IP (ToIP) solutions provider said, “The future of our customers: system integrators, ISPs and telcos, is dependent on comprehensive and robust Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) services that are interoperable with mobile, fix phone, mail and data. Our ability to offer Microsoft OCS compliant SIP trunks to the market clearly shows our commitment to Unified Communications. We are currently working with Orange (News - Alert), France’s first OCS compliant carrier, to deliver full end-to-end OCS connectivity.”

With this OCS approval, Squire Technologies is now able to efficiently provide OCS compliant services to existing and new customer requiring scalable, future proof interconnectivity.

Andrew continued, “We are very proud to have supported IP Directions to become the first French operator to offer this service. With the quality of service IP Directions can now offer to their customers their growth should be exponential, we will of course be there to support them well into the future.”

Starting as an SS7 consultancy building custom products from best-of-breed hardware, Squire Technologies quickly took this expertise into building and delivering carrier grade SS7 based signaling products. The company offers a range of VoIP products, SS7 products and Protocol Converters. It strives to develop new and innovative Telecom Signalling products to match the demanding functional and budgetary requirements of the Telecoms industry.

In another development, Squire Technologies and Teanet, a leading provider of IP Telephony services in Italy, successfully completed the PSTN interconnect acceptance tests with Telecom Italia (News - Alert) in April 2010. The approval ensures the Squire Technologies media gateway solution provides a smooth migration for operators between the Telecom Italia’s PSTN network and IP based services.
