NTT Communications Expands Arcstar Global IP-VPN Service

NTT Communications has expanded its Arcstar Global IP-VPN service to Atlanta and is set to launch in Denver this fall. The company also introduced Arcstar Global IP-VPN point of presence at its premium data centers in London this month with plans for and Paris in the fall.



 
Arcstar Global IP-VPN is a managed network service for enterprise customers that is available in 159 countries. The expansion drive is aimed at global companies headquartered in the Southeast and call centers and R&D facilities in the Midwest. Applications are now being accepted in Atlanta; applications will be accepted in Denver around August.
 
Arcstar Global IP-VPN enables organizations to concentrate on their core business activities by providing end-to-end service covering ordering, installation, management, and maintenance of the network. It uses the high technology MPLS, or Multi Protocol Label SwitchingIt is possible to share equipment and networks with multiple users, which results in better cost performance than can be achieved with a leased line.
 
Arcstar Global IP-VPN enables organizations to reduce their total network management cost by providing Customer Premise Equipment, or CPE, management service that covers router rental, design and installation of router, and off-site and on-site maintenance. Extra lines or offices can be added to the network quite easily. High security is provided by the use of both public and private IP addresses.
 
The Arcstar Global IP-VPN POP will be provided at the London Slough Data Center and the Paris Saint-Denis Data Center. Conventional POP is also offered in these cities by NTT (News - Alert) Com. Both London and Paris are Tier III level data centers that offer co-location, hosting and IT management, including system integration, hardware operation and maintenance, monitoring and security management. The new POP will provide direct connection from the data centers to NTT Com's global IP-VPN. Applications are being accepted in London now and will be accepted in Paris around August.
