Technology Marketing Corporation’s Communications Solutions magazine recently awarded Comdasys’ Mobile Convergence (News - Alert) solution "2008 Product of the Year.”
According to TMC, its 2008 Communications Solutions Product of the Year award was given to those innovative products and services that were rolled-out in 2008 and honors their groundbreaking achievement.
According to Comdasys (News - Alert), its Mobile Convergence (MC) solution is an enterprise and service provider grade FMC that seamlessly unifies fixed enterprise VoIP, VoWLAN and cellular mobility.
Comdasys’ Mobile Convergence (MC) solution was recognized by TMC for its outstanding innovation and advancement in voice, data and/or video communications.
Offering one-number and one voice-mailbox features, Comdasys’ MC solution facilitates mobile users to access IP-PBX (News - Alert) features from anywhere (whether in WLAN or GSM networks).
Communications such as Instant Messaging (IM) and Presence can be seamlessly carried out and an MC Controller that behaves as a connected SIP telephone is implemented near the IP-PBX to help make the mobility element transparent to the voice switch.
The MC Client supports a wide range of handsets such as all Nokia single and dual mode phones, all Symbian based LG and Samsung (News - Alert) handsets, all latest Blackberry devices, Android, iPhone, and Windows Mobile based phones.
In addition, the MC Client deployment and remote configuration tools are integrated in the MC Controller for ease-of-use.
The offering supports a wide range of PBX features via subscriber interface integration and is available in three models scaling from 50 to 1500 users.
Integrated into mobile handsets, the MC Client is a software module that provides a homogeneous user interface for use across base-bands such as WiFi (News - Alert), cellular and GPRS/UMTS - for rich IP-PBX feature access.
Marco Genoni, GM of Comdasys, said, “Because we support sophisticated Least Cost Routing functionalities that automatically select the appropriate call type to optimize call cost and call convenience, our customers achieve major cost reductions in mobile communications.”
