WYDE Voice Offering Free Test Drive Opportunity to Service ProvidersBy Michelle Robart, TMCnet Editor WYDE Voice is giving service providers the unique opportunity to test its HD Voice quality conferencing bridges via its "test drive" program.
The WYDE Voice Test Drive program offers a free 60-day demo of its wide-band voice conferencing bridge that leverages the Asterisk (News - Alert) platform and enables service providers to deliver a wide range of affordable, high-quality audio conferencing solutions to their end- users.
"We are so confident that our WYDE Voice models are the most advanced bridges on the market that we are offering service providers a free hands-on experience," Michael Eastman, vice president of global sales for WYDE Voice. "These conferencing companies can witness first-hand how easily this technology assimilates into an existing or new IP infrastructure while receiving a demo of the highest voice quality system on the market."
Conferencing providers can demo the WYDE conferencing appliances under two scenarios, explained Eastman. For certain inquiries, prospects receive a 60-day evaluation unit of the VM1000 that includes a 500 seat license to test the product's functionality within their voice infrastructure. For others interested, WYDE Voice is providing a 60-day trial of the new conferencing appliances using a hosted version that exposes them to the unparalleled benefits of the system, provides subscriber/admin accounts to test the controls, and gives them the chance to hear its superior wide-band voice quality.
In addition, WYDE Voice is offering API integration to enable service providers to see how well their applications would integrate with the actual unit.
"We are offering service providers the best of both worlds with our new WYDE Voice Test Drive program," said Eastman. "Not only are we giving them the option of a physical WYDE Voice box or hosted solution, we are also backing it with technical support as they deploy it within their locations."
WYDE Voice is ideal for distance learning and a multitude of audio and Web conferencing uses. It is the culmination of two years of research and development, and it brings high-quality voice to complex, multi-speaker and multi-listener environments.
The WYDE Voice appliances utilize Asterisk, offering unrivaled flexibility without sacrificing performance. The VM1000 model starts at $160/port, while the VM3000 is priced at $140/port - a fraction of the cost of competitive bridges.
Preset modes such as reservation-less conferencing are also installed on each appliance and can be easily modified to meet business needs including specialized call flow or advanced features such as real-time conference control. The two WYDE Voice models can manage up to 10,000 concurrent G.711 callers or up to 3000 HD Voice callers. Currently, the WYDE appliances support a variety of narrowband codecs as well as the HD Voice codec from Global IP Sound (News - Alert) known as iSAC. By the end of 2008, the WYDE product line will also support G.722.2 AMR-WB.
WYDE develops HD Voice applications for organizations of all sizes. The company offers turnkey products with customizable features at the most cost effective price point on the market. WYDE specializes in bringing high-quality voice to complex, multi-speaker and multi-listener environments.
