NET Receives JITC Interoperability Certification

Network Equipment Technologies (News - Alert) (NET) announced that it has successfully completed a Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) Interoperability Certification for its VX 900 VoIP Gateway. This software release is 4.3.5 of version 55 for Tactical Network Element (T-NE) and Strategic Network Element (S-NE).

 

The VX900 is most suitable and is widely used by the Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, JCSE, SOCOM and other joint commands.

 

JITC certification can be obtained only after the VX900 has passed both the Interoperability (IO) Certification and Information Assurance (IA) Accreditation. The successful certification process entails a product to be included to the Defense Information System Agency’s (DISA) Approved products List.

 

All voice networking equipment should have the DISA’s JITC certification especially when connecting to the U.S. Department of Defense core network. This requirement took the form of a law in December 2002 after the signing of the Public Law 107-314, PDF SEC 353 (S348/H354).
