snom, SIPGear Team To Integrate SIP-Based Phone Portfolio

snom Technology, a developer of developer of Voice over IP phones (VoIP), has announced the integration of its session initiation protocol (SIP)-based phone portfolio with Sweden-based IP PBX (News - Alert) manufacturer SIPGear.



 
snom has given SIPGear’s iPBX full certification after “rigorous” testing. The iPBX solution has been certified as interoperable and deployable with snom 3xx series VoIP phones and the new snom m3 IP DECT (News - Alert) mobile phone.
 
“This certification highlights that our joint solution is fully tested and ready for installation and deployment by any business large or small,” said Annika Stenbom, marketing director at SIPGear.
 
snom's 3xx series - snom 300, 320, 360 and 370 - are open, standards-based SIP VoIP phones. The series feature a high-resolution display screen, programmable function keys and advanced business calling features.
 
The company’s first cordless offering, the snom m3 IP DECT, provides a VoIP communications system for the home office, small-medium-business (SMB) or enterprise.
 
“We are pleased to have SIPGear, one of Sweden's cutting edge telecom companies, join the snom partner program and have its SIPGear iPBX achieve full certification as being tested, interoperable and ready to deploy with snom's portfolio of SIP VoIP phones,” said Dr. Michael Knieling executive vice president of marketing and sales at snom.
 
He also said that the joint snom-SIPGear solution is an ideal fit for businesses needing an IP telephony solution that blends value, advanced calling features and ease of use.
 
iPBX from SIPGear comes in four different models - the SG10, SG30, SG100 and SG250 all including feature rich standard functionality with auto attendant, IVR, ACD, LCR, CDR, Unified Messaging, voicemail, remote users and offices and presence for an automatic audio answer of employees´ availability.
 
Optional modules include mobile extension that allows an employee to use their cell phone as an office extension; TAPI for click-and-dial functionality. And, for advanced and customized functionality, SIPGear offers a Scripting module that enables a business to integrate its iPBX into its other business applications through the writing of scripts that interact with other computer systems in the company.
