TelcoBridges (
News -
Alert) Inc. announced Tuesday that Vertex Telecom in Los Angeles, Calif., is successfully using the TB640-DS3 System-Blade to enable its high capacity DS3 voice switching service.
The system currently uses 12 triple-DS3 TB640 System-Blades and will be expanded later in 2007, with the addition of more DS3 blades.
According to Jim Tirjan, sales director, the Americas, TelcoBridges, their client Vertex was able to greatly reduce time to market and develop a flexible and extremely scalable system in less than one month as a direct result of TelcoBridges’ innovative technology combined with the Service Creation Environment (SCE) software layer developed by Goldway Communication Ltd. for the TelcoBridges’ platform.
Goldway’s SCE product significantly reduces the development cycle for customers such as Vertex, and provides them complete access to all of the carrier-grade features of the TelcoBridges platform.
Jim Chiu, CEO, Vertex Telecom, Inc. said that due to rapidly expanding market demand from their U.S. and Asian clientele, Vertex needed to upgrade its tandem switching platform to one that could scale quickly and easily to support a huge amount of traffic with built-in carrier-class reliability.
By using the TelcoBridges DS3 System-Blade, Vertex could meet its current traffic capacity needs and obtain the capability to easily scale the system to support future growth cost-effectively.
Offering a non-blocking architecture, up to three DS3 ports TelcoBridges’ TB640-DS3 System-Blade supports a wide range of signaling and media processing protocols. The solution is the ideal building block for developing a variety of telecom applications requiring TDM, VoIP
and IVR functionalities.
Chiu said that Vertex also chose to work with Goldway to benefit from their SCE capabilities, and this is why they have successfully upgraded their switching platform in record time by installing a 36-port DS3 system based on TelcoBridges' TB640-DS3 System-Blade.
“We are extremely impressed by its stellar performance to date,” Chiu concluded.
“The demand for a swift delivery of new applications and services is a business imperative,” said Steven Zhang, general manager, Goldway Communication Ltd in a
press release.
He continued: “We noticed that for many system integrators, much of the application development effort is deployed to interface with the hardware. By developing a software layer on TelcoBridges’ proven and reliable architecture, Goldway has created an SCE product offering which enables TelcoBridges users to focus on what they do best - higher-level application development. As demonstrated at Vertex Telecom, it gives them an extremely short time to market, improving their competitiveness.
