Apparent Networks Joins Avaya DevConnect ProgramBy Anshu Shrivastava, TMCnet Contributor Apparent Networks, a provider of network fault and performance management solutions, said that it has been selected by Avaya for membership in the Avaya DevConnect (News - Alert) program.
Apparent Networks is the developer of PathView, a software application that provides IT teams with the end-to-end visibility into network paths required to manage new distributed applications.
Company officials said that PathView enables companies to closely monitor their own environments and assess the performance of their carrier’s and service provider’s networks in real time.
Companies deploying voice-over-Internet protocol and unified communications applications can use PathView to manage end-to-end network performance to ensure “smoother” roll-outs and delivery of “higher-quality” services over time, said company officials.
The Avaya (News - Alert) DevConnect program promotes the development, compliance-testing, and co-marketing of third-party products that are compatible with standards-based Avaya solutions.
Member organizations have expertise in a broad range of technologies, including IP telephony, contact centers and mobility applications. Avaya said that these member organizations help companies extend the value of multi-vendor networks and transform voice into an intelligent business application that delivers true value to the bottom line.
“Through Avaya’s DevConnect program, many more customers will be able to see for themselves how different and more effective our products are, and do so within a trusted environment,” said Jim Melvin, president and chief marketing officer at Apparent Networks (News - Alert).
He said that building on Avaya resources and working closely with the company to deliver compliance-tested solutions to the market, “we will help Avaya customers to gain the significant benefits of new communications applications more quickly.”
The Avaya DevConnect program currently includes thousands of software and hardware developer companies, integrators, service providers and customers. As a member of the DevConnect program, companies have access to a wide range of support from Avaya, including technical resources and training. And, also through this program, company provides a number of tools and capabilities to member companies.
“Development partners like Apparent Networks are helping Avaya dramatically expand the options available to its customers,” said Eric Rossman (News - Alert), vice president, developer relations and technical alliances at Avaya.
