Host VoIP Service Provider JAB Wireless Broadband Selects OptionEase Solutions

OptionEase Inc., a developer of on-demand software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) applications that enable fair-market-value accounting and compliance, provided its offerings to JAB Wireless Broadband, a provider of Internet and Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone services, for delivering monthly equity reports, recording option and warrant expenses and completing annual audits in a quick manner.

Offering SaaS based regulatory applications in governance, risk and compliance (GRC) marketplace, Mission Viejo, Calif.-based OptionEase had previously developed a solution especially for audit compliance under FAS 123(R), while the company now offers a wide range of end-to-end equity management tools to over 500 private VC-funded and large multi-national public corporations.

Based in Colorado, JAB Wireless, Inc. offers wireless broadband Internet and digital voice telephone service to residential and business customers in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, and Texas. The company provides services to its customers through a number of wholly-owned subsidiaries operating under the brands of SKYBEAM in Colorado, Wyoming and Texas, and Digis in Utah and Idaho.

Before selecting OptionEase, JAB had evaluated various technology solutions such as CapMx, Equity Enterprise and EquityFocus, and finally chose the company for its focus on both options and warrants accounting and equity reporting. Prior to the selection, the company had been leveraging spreadsheet reporting for equity accounting and used its external auditors to conduct annual Black-Scholes analyses.

“We realized our equity accounting was inefficient,” commented Bruce Blair, financial analyst at JAB, in a press release. “OptionEase enabled us to not only shore up our information, but also deliver it on time to all relevant stakeholders and for less expense than JAB had previously experienced. And OptionEase customer support is always available to us when we have questions.”

In June 2010, OptionEase Inc., announced a new earnings per share reporting function that provides users with advanced flexibility, giving them increased ability to configure reports to match their specific accounting methodology and requirements.
