LG-Ericsson USA Launches New VoIP Solution for SMBsBy Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor LG-Ericsson USA launched a feature-rich, easy-to-use hybrid VoIP solution for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMB). The company claims that the new ipLDK-60 Hybrid Key Telephone System is easy-to-install, manage and can simplify voice communications for even the smallest of offices. The scalable hybrid communications solution can reduce costs by eliminating the need for a separate PBX (News - Alert) for call handling. It can support up to 48 digital or analog extensions and provide maximum flexibility by enabling users to utilize a range of terminals including digital, analog, and IP phones, and fax machines. LG-Ericsson (News - Alert) USA included a range of robust features in the new release including text messaging, caller ID, conferencing, call recording, call coverage, and voice-over on camped on calls. The system is ideal for growing small and medium-sized companies, because it supports both analog trunks, and digital and SIP trunks. Thanks to ipLDK-60, users can easily migrate the voice communications infrastructure to a full VoIP solution using affordable, easy-to-install IP expansion cards. Users will now be able to easily monitor call traffic and implement forced call control using Least Call Routing (LCR) which pre-selects the least expensive call routes for lowest cost and greatest value. The system has been designed to maximize productivity, provides voice mail notification to users’ cell phones and supports 15-party conferencing. Commenting on the new launch in a press release, Tony Stramandinoli, VP of Marketing at LG-Ericsson USA, said that the ipLDK-60 system provides scalability to support growth and gives companies the ability to transition from the legacy analog telephone infrastructure to a state-of-the-art VoIP solution affordably and at a time that makes sense for the company. “The business-class feature set incorporated into the system provides SMBs with a full-featured telephony solution that makes even the smallest businesses sound like a large corporation, while minimizing the overall cost of ownership and maximizing the productivity of the staff.” Anuradha Shukla is a contributing editor for TMCnet.
