VocalTec Makes Essentra BAX Available on the Amazon EC2 Environment

VocalTec, a provider of carrier-class multimedia and voice-over-IP solutions for communication service providers, announced that its Essentra BAX solution is now available on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) environment.

 

Potential customers will now have the ability to use VocalTec’s (News - Alert) Class-5 VoIP Application Server, providing a comprehensive set of residential and enterprise VoIP services.

 

VocalTec has stated that service providers in order to introduce new revenue-generating IP communications services are looking for more efficient ways to leverage the burgeoning broadband access market. The company’s Essentra BAX solution helps service providers take advantage of evolving IP opportunities by enabling the delivery of residential and hosted enterprise VoIP services over any broadband infrastructure. The solution is built on their expertise in VoIP solutions and offers the capability for providers to scale up to millions of subscribers over time.

 

The carrier-grade turnkey solution supports both traditional subscriber calling features, including call waiting and call forward, and a range of cutting-edge features such as call screening and click-to-dial.

 

The Essentra BAX offers a wide range of applications including hosted PBX (News - Alert), IP Centrex and Residential VoIP services, and boasts an extensive array of subscriber calling features, including cutting-edge IP features such as click-to-dial, attendant console, auto-attendant and others.
