CalAmp Partners with Jasper Wireless

CalAmp, a provider of wireless products, services and solutions, has partnered with Jasper Wireless, a company offering a service platform for managing connected devices globally, for the international expansion of its Aercept Mobile Asset Tracking Solution.

 

The company plans to expand the service area of its mobile asset tracking business across Europe and the Americas.

 

Officials said that as an integrated provider of asset tracking solutions, the Aercept business combines hardware devices, wireless network access and Web-based software applications to deliver mobile asset tracking services.

 

Jasper is a one-stop shop for wireless operators, enterprises, OEMs, and solution providers who want to capitalize on a world of connected devices. The company is redefining machine-to-machine communications by combining the best in wireless technologies and on-demand Internet applications.

 

Its unique service model features the Jasper Global SIM, expert M2M design services, and the Jasper Control Center for real-time visibility and control to help scale operations.

 

“With Jasper’s support, this partnership will allow CalAmp (News - Alert) to bring the industry leading value of our Aercept vehicle tracking solutions to customers in more than two dozen countries across Europe and the Americas,” said Michael Zachan, vice president and general manager of CalAmp’s Aercept unit, in a statement.

 

Zachan said that with this partnership, the company can now pursue strategic international expansion opportunities for its mobile asset tracking services.

Patterson said that the company provides an end-to-end service solution that automates operations such as device provisioning, and delivers real-time diagnostics to quickly resolve connectivity issues from thousands of miles away.

 

The Jasper service is designed to help CalAmp more easily and cost-effectively grow into new international markets, he explained.
