ShoreTel to Launch Full Range of Unified Communications in the UAE

ShoreTel, Inc., a provider of Pure IP Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) solutions, is all set to launch its range of UC solutions in the United Arab Emirates.

 

Company officials said that ShoreTel (News - Alert) is trying to secure a foothold in the GCC with the official launch of its extensive IP and Unified Communications solutions in February, 2009.

 

ShoreTel officials claimed that it is one of the only IP telephony manufacturers in the industry to take a fresh approach and deliver 100 percent of its solutions through the expertise and experience of value-add resellers and solutions providers.

 

Company officials said it has also developed an innovative, superior channel partner program and will be running a series of educational seminars, vendor showcases and regional exhibitions in the GCC to recruit a lean forward thinking channel of VAR’s.

 

“We are delighted to be launching our presence officially in the Middle East with these new distribution agreements,” said Mark Swendsen, ShoreTel’s managing director, EMEA, in a statement.

 

Swendsen claimed that ShoreTel’s ease of management and low total cost of ownership has earned the company a major position in VoIP sales in the US, and currently the company is one of the fastest growing unified communications companies in the world.

 

He said that the company is looking forward to developing its distribution network in the GCC and bringing the many benefits of its system, including reliability, scalability and ease of use, to organizations there.

 

The ShoreTel UC system features reliable and proven IP-based solutions, the company officials said. Based on a distributed architecture designed for reliability and manageability, ShoreTel's UC system includes ergonomically designed phones, state-of-the-art switches, and feature-rich software for enterprise-class functionality at a low total cost of ownership.
