Alcatel-Lucent Enters Distribution Agreement with Megatel

Alcatel-Lucent has entered into a distribution agreement with Megatel to supply voice and data communications solutions for enterprises and administrations.

Alcatel-Lucent (News - Alert) has teamed up with Megatel to provide complete and secure communication solutions to the companies in the North African region. Both the companies believe that they have strong technological abilities and these technologies can be merged together to help companies to transform themselves into dynamic enterprises.

Alcatel-Lucent is committed to helping enterprises move towards a dynamic communications model that strengthens relationships, simplifies interaction and improves performance," said Laurent Thevenon, regional director of Alcatel-Lucent’s enterprise activities in the Mediterranean, West and Central Africa.

 

The company said it is happy to have Alcatel-Lucent as their partner. While Megatel offers project engineering management, integration and technical support, Alcatel-Lucent specializes in providing advanced solutions and high level service quality. Megatel believes that both these skill sets, when merged together, will provide Megatel an opportunity to improve its customer base in countries such as Morocco.

 

According to this agreement, Alcatel-Lucent is now the reference supplier for Megatel. This means Alcatel-Lucent will provide solutions including IP telephony, call centers, applications and services to Megatel.

 

In April, Mobicom, a provider of telecommunications services in Mongolia, awarded Alcatel-Lucent its annual 2007 Best Project Award for phase one deployment of a nationwide next-generation network (NGN) and expansion of its existing wireless networks. The equipment vendor demonstrating the best project management, cost savings, product features and network stability during the previous year wins the award.
