Globalcom Selects BillSoft's Taxation Software

It was a busy week for BillSoft, a provider of transaction tax products and services, at the COMPTEL (News - Alert) Convention & Expo in Nashville.
In addition to announcing its latest EZTax product, the Kansas company said Globalcom, a voice and data network provider has selected BillSoft’s (News - Alert) EZTax product line to accurately tax their communications services and effectively manage their taxation requirements. EZTax will integrate into Globalcom’s (News - Alert) billing operations to provide a real-time billing and taxing platform.
“EZTax is the highest performance and most comprehensive taxation system available. It provides the capability to calculate more than 200 types of taxes, fees and surcharges for communications providers,” said Vicki Klein (News - Alert), president of BillSoft. “It really gives Globalcom the opportunity to focus on their core product offering while knowing that their taxation is handled accurately.”
Globalcom is one of the fastest growing communications companies for small to medium sized businesses. Because of Globalcom’s streamlined approach, they are able to cost-effectively offer an integrated voice and data platform, amongst other communications services, according to the company. BillSoft’s EZTax product compliments this offering, by providing tax calculation for all of Globalcom’s service offerings using the newest technologies. The integration of EZTax into Globalcom’s end-user billing is expected to be completed first quarter 2008.
In addition to EZTax for tax calculation, Globalcom has implemented EZTax Viewer and EZTax Bundler. The Viewer is a tax reference tool that includes all the latest tax rate information for every jurisdiction in the United States and other countries. This solution will allow Globalcom to verify and validate tax rate information with a click of a button. The Bundler is a tool that allows EZTax customers to accurately tax multiple items that are sold as a bundled product offering.
